Slightly Inaccurate
This bride and groom should seriously consider suing the cake decorator they hired for their big day, as the way they ended up looking on their wedding cake is nothing short of insulting.
The cute bride and groom figurines they asked for were replaced by ones that look like toy dolls from a horror movie. The end result looks more like deformed judo rejects than a happy couple, which is probably not what they were going for.
Underwhelming Dragon
The child that requested a dragon cake for his birthday must have had a pretty elaborate idea of what he wanted the dragon to look like, and this was definitely not it.
The only thing on this cake that resembles a dragon is the little plastic dragon they've stuck on top, while the eyes of the supposed cake dragon look like the head of a poisonous insect we can honestly say we do not want to eat.
That Is Not A Dog
Trying to create a cake out of whipped cream and icing definitely doesn't sound easy, but this end result is quite honestly insulting to the very concept of a dog.
This white bear-cat creature looks like a bad child's drawing, but on the plus side, with that amount of whipped cream and icing it must have at least been sweet enough to taste good.
Not Quite Extreme Enough
This couple wanted their wedding cake to be as action-packed as can be, almost like an edible version of Die Hard. What they ended up getting, however, is exciting for all the wrong reasons.
Instead of a hilarious representation of the groomsmen trying to rescue the groom from his bride, the cake ended up being something both parties need to be rescued from. Honestly, we just hope it tastes nice.
Could Have Gone Worse
This foxy number is a solid effort from one sister to another, celebrating her 30th birthday. Admittedly, it doesn't look identical and the fox looks like it's having a bad day, but we don't think the end result is as bad as some of the other cake fails on this list.
The eyes are a little off, and we miss the chocolate ears, but overall this cake is a solid attempt (and better than we could ever pull off). We bet it was tasty, too.
Not Even Close
If you can't work out what this cake is meant to be, don't feel too bad, it's a terrible recreation. It's actually meant to be a heroic half-man half-horse creature spearing a bad guy. Do you see it now?
Yeah, we can't see it either. Sometimes sticking with edible print on edible paper really is the best option, as we can't imagine that Michael was too happy with this result.
Demon Elmo Cake
Considering that Elmo is adorable, this cake is very much a disappointment. It's not just the discolored eyes and the terrifying gaping mouth, it's that his whole cute essence was somehow sucked out of him.
The little hearts around his face are a sad attempt to recover from a failed attempt, but they don't really work. Hopefully, it at least tasted good, as a lot of effort has clearly gone in.
Worse Than An Own Goal
Scoring an own goal in soccer is one of the worst crimes a player can commit. Creating a soccer ball cake that looks like this is an even worse one, though. Has this baker ever seen a soccer ball before?
At the very least they could have colored in the black parts of the ball in. Maybe they ran out of icing? It's no excuse, though, as the poor kid who received this cake was definitely disappointed.
Daylight Robbery
If this cake was created by an amateur baker at home then we would be paying them compliments right now, but actually, someone paid over $80 to a professional bakery to make this cake, which is not ok.
Simply sticking an edible print of the Hulk on a plain white cake is far from the action-packed look they were going for, and Artin deserved better. Hopefully, his parents would go to a different bakery for his 5th birthday.
A Squishy Fail
The idea behind these devilish bachelorette cupcakes is so cute and whimsical, but the end result really looks like they were accidentally sat on by the person who made them.
The horns look more like bunny ears, the cake seems to have collapsed into itself completely, and the icing, despite the fact that it's a lovely lavender color, looks like a soggy mess, so not the most appetizing of results.
Ugly Orange Smear
This cake was meant to be a 'Rose Cake' which looks elegant and subtle. The end result is a poorly thrown-together mess that we think that we could have actually made ourselves, and that is not a compliment.
Apparently, this cake was for a wedding party as well, which just makes the whole thing even worse. Honestly, if this was the cake for the wedding day itself, maybe rescheduling the event is the better option.
Frosting The Snowman
The original marshmallow snowman cupcake is adorable, and all of the fine details and the sugary head make it look amazing and delicious. The amateur attempt on the right, however, looks far less appetizing.
The second snowman looks like he's coming to cause you some serious harm, the details are crude, and chocolate on top really makes it look like a demon version of what a snowman should be.
Gomorrah Isn't Impressed
Since this cake was made at home rather than by a professional baker, we're being slightly less harsh with our judgment as there definitely is some resemblance, despite how small.
The facial markings are similar, the skin is appropriately green and the hair is purple, those are all good signs. Ultimately, the cake looks more funny than it does realistic, but at least it doesn't look as frightening as some of the other concoctions on this list.
Elsa, Is That You?
You're probably familiar with the film Frozen that took the entire world by storm when it was first released in 2013. Elsa, the ice queen from the film, is loved by children and adults alike, but none of them would approve of this terrifying cake fail.
Despite how bad the cake looks, the story behind it was nice as it was donated by a charity called 'Icing Smiles' to children in need. All in all, the kids got what we hope was a delicious cake, and the internet got an epic cake fail, so we can call this a win-win?
Minnie Bear
This cake does not look like Minnie Mouse, it looks like a Minnie Bear. Rather than being cute and dainty, Minnie looks like a terrifying grizzly bear that would eat you whole. The pink blobs in her mouth don't help either.
To really top the whole thing off, the cake doesn't even look edible as the icing appears so thick and plasticky. This cake definitely deserved a full refund as it was a bad job all around.
Not All Bunnies Are Cute
This baker really put as little effort as possible into making this bunny cake, but luckily bunnies are easy to recreate, so at least we get the idea.
Yes, it's definitely a low-budget, low energy version, but all the main components are there: ears, nose, eyes, and that colorful bow tie is a nice extra touch. We'd probably still eat this. Would you?
A Watermelon Massacre
To say that this watermelon matcha-jello cake didn't turn out perfect is a bit of an understatement, but we must say, the final result kind of actually looks tastier.
We'll let the baker off on this one because they said the recipe was in German and the baker only spoke English, so all things considered, the end result is pretty ok. When sliced, the amateur version actually looks more appetizing in our book.
Not What She Would Have Wanted
Now we know that Snow White is a fictional character, but we still think that she would not appreciate this cake representation of her. She would need a good chiropractor to sort out how crooked her head turned out.
The obvious explanation is that the baker miscalculated how much room to leave for the head, which ended up being squished on and leaving poor Snow White looking deformed. Such a shame, because it looks pretty good from the neck down.
Minnie's Having A Bad Day
This version of Minnie Mouse at least looks like a mouse, she just looks like a mouse who is recovering from a night of mad partying. The fine details are gone, apart from the eyelashes for some reason, and her mouth has disappeared completely.
We can only hope that the little girl that got this cake could see past its deformities and appreciated the hard work whoever made it put into it. Baking is a labor of love!
Damaged Guitar
The guitar cake on the left looks amazing, just like a real guitar, professional and delicious. The cake on the right looks like somebody put a guitar in the washing machine and it melted beyond recognition.
There is no definition or design, and although it looks like it might taste good, this is not a cake we would want for our birthday. Frankly, it would be a bit insulting.
Cookies Screaming For Help
These not-so-cute cookies were meant to be little bears holding onto pecans, and the end results look like demon bears in shock, wishing for freedom.
The baker clearly misread the recipe, as the bears have spread out beyond recognition in the over, and rather than the arms wrapping around the pecan, the pecans are just stuck on top, resulting in an overall unsuccessful attempt.
American Fail
Is there anything more beautiful than a freshly baked pie? A delicious, fruity filling and a scrumptious crust, go together to make one of the best things in the dessert world. This attempt at baking a fruit pie, unfortunately, is not a successful one.
Yes, pie crust is definitely difficult to make, but the crust doesn't even cover all of it. Parts of it sunk into the filling and it overall looks way undercooked, making it far from appetizing.
Spongebob From Hell
We have nothing good to say about this demon-looking Spongebob cake, which kind of looks like the monster that Spongebob would turn into if he was taken out of the sea.
So much is wrong with this cake, that no small adjustments would fix this horror. The only good place for this one to end up in is the trash.
The Beast And The Beast
With this version of Belle, it might turn out that the Beast actually was the beauty. What is it with people making Disney princesses look so bad? Maybe they are jealous.
Cake Belle here looks like she's having a very rough day, but is trying to smile through it. We just hope that whoever this cake was made for didn't care so much for fine details!
A Christmas Lump
We have to admit, that Rice Krispies star on top of the Christmas tree blob cake looks pretty delicious. However, the whole creation looks nothing like a Christmas tree. It's hardly even green.
The original cake had such beautiful spiky green icing, and the recreation is a sad sugary lump but at least someone tried their hardest, and it would be against the spirit of Christmas to turn any cake down.
Under The Terrifying Sea
Adding to the impressive collection of Disney princess cakes from hell, this recreation of Ariel looks hilarious and completely wrong. It was made by an amateur for her younger sister's birthday.
Once she realized she wasn't doing a good job, she decided to have fun with it and finish it off anyway, her sister was probably too young to notice. We're not too young, however, and we do notice. Poor Ariel!
Patrick Is Coming To Get You
Patrick the starfish is the funniest Spongebob character, and this cake version of him is also very funny. Firstly, he's obviously been on a very successful diet, and secondly, he's lost some of his more prominent features.
The haphazard pink icing makes poor Patrick look like his skin is melting away, and the red eyes make us want to run for our lives. Let's just put it this way, this cursed cake would not be allowed in our house.
Santa-Cthulhu bread
Bread isn't easy to make, but if you're going to make some festive Santa-shaped bread for Christmas that people would actually want to eat, you better make sure you know what you're doing. Why is Santa giving us that terrifying stare?
This bread was definitely a first attempt, so we'll let them off this time. We hate to see bread go to waste, even if it looks like a demon, so we hope it at least tasted nice.
Mud Monster
If this cake was meant to be a mud monster, then it's an absolute triumph. However, it was actually meant to be a cute porcupine-shaped cake, which is why it's not.
The chocolate buttons were meant to resemble cute spikes, and the red candy face was meant to be endearing. This mud monster probably brought lots of laughs to the event though, and in terms of taste, it's hard to go too wrong with that much chocolate.
A Mayonnaise Bouquet
With this cake fail, you can at least tell that they tried to make it like the original, and that the decorations on top actually look like flowers. That's about the only positive thing we can say about it though.
Kudos to the baker for giving this difficult cake a go, but the end result looks more like a Thousand Island dressing cake than something we would actually want to eat.
Frog Monster
Well, this cake was meant to look like a monster, and it definitely looks like a monster, just not the one that was intended.
The baker clearly decided to give up on the original idea, and although it looks nothing like it's supposed to, it's kind of cute, so we can't say we're too mad about it.
Guitar Gone Wrong
The people who asked for this guitar cake actually requested an 'exact replica' which is in no way what they got.
Since the parents were making their own cake for their kid, we've got to give them props for trying--some serious effort has gone in there. Happy 10th birthday Landen! Hopefully next year your parents let someone else have a go at making the cake.
Sad Smurf Affair
Anyone who knows and loves the Smurfs knows that this is not what they look like. Where did the mouth go, and why is it melting?
This Smurf looks like it's crying out for help, but the baker actually claims that after this failed first attempt they decided to try again a second time, which is what we like to hear.
Furby Nightmare
This attempt at a Furby cake is by far the most terrifying piece of edible art we have ever seen, and it's bound to haunt us in our dreams forever.
If this cake were meant for a kid, we would highly recommend buying one from a grocery store, as the nightmares this would give them would last for weeks if not months afterwards.
Ninja Turned Soft
This cake doesn't look like a Ninja, it looks like a mummified lego piece, which is not the same vibe.
Rather than looking fearless and strong, it looks scared and silly, because of the way the icing has been used. Icing is a difficult substance to master, but maybe try something simpler if your abilities aren't up to scratch.
Totally Given Up
This cake was meant to be for an anniversary celebration, so clearly, the couple has been together enough years that they don't care about making any effort.
The only way you can tell it's Spiderman is by a tiny bit of red icing, and even then it's only if you squint. The important thing is the love this couple has for each other anyway, not the cake, or so we hope.
Power Ranger Fail
To give this cake some credit, piping buttercream rather than just using store-bought decorations made things all the more difficult. It does make the end result look more edible in our book.
To be honest about the cake, however, it looks nothing like a Power Ranger, but more like the stuff of nightmares, that's out to eat your soul.
Trippy Tormented Fox
Rather than being a cute woodland fox, this fox looks like something out of a dark children's fairytale intended to teach children some difficult lessons.
The demon fox cake from hell looks like it's ready to create problems, and considering the cake was meant for a children's birthday party, we have no kind words to say.
Owl Gone Wrong
So the original owl cake is supposed to look whimsical, and at least the amateur version got that right, they just took it way too far.
This melting chocolate owl looks like a sad deformed creature waiting to be put out of its misery. We would still eat it, though!
Worth It For The Meme
The Nyan cat was one of the first internet memes, and the way this cake looks is worthy of its own meme, or at least the internet fame that it found.
Sticking together some Pop-Tarts and chocolate sauce doesn't make anything appetizing or sophisticated, but this would probably make for a nice treat while watching vintage Youtube videos and vibing on a sugar rush.
