Ma'am, You have A Rope Inside Your Leg
We begin with an Instagrammer who edited a rope into her leg, or this might be a new trend, but we highly doubt it. This woman altered her figure and ended up with a picture heavily showing what real pain looks like. We assume she was focused on other things quite intensely if she missed this mishap. It is unfortunate because the picture itself looks like a fun day in the sun.
She's smiling and would make anyone jealous because who doesn't want to enjoy their day at the beach? There was no need for her terrible photoshop skills, and she might even get more likes if she kept it natural.
When The Face Filter Game Goes Too Far
On the right, we have an image of a person who looks completely human and normal. On the left, we have someone who doesn't exist. No one looks like the person on the left. This woman used a filter to not only change her age, face, and eyes but her species too. The "woman" on the left doesn't look human! Have you ever seen anyone with a pointy chin, spread lips, and bug-like eyes in real life? The answer is no.
Photoshop is a great tool to create aliens. Just don't expect anyone to believe it's a human being. This woman should not feel bad about herself that she felt she needed to edit this much. Natural look is in right now, and forever will be.
A superhero Origin Story: Captain Strong Hand
Meet a new superhero, Captain Strong Hand. What's her superpower, you ask? She can slap you to another world using her one big hand. This woman must have forgotten hands are usually symmetrical and found a way to make one of her hands disproportionately smaller. Her hands look like they came from two very different people, and this is another amusing outcome when you rely a bit too much on Photoshop.
Sometimes the photo is good as it is, and if you think it needs re-editing, it's best to retake the picture, not alter it. Images are meant to capture a moment in reality, with real people in them.
The Curse Of The Tiny Head, Brought To You By A Mummy
For some reason, people believe tiny heads are in style (you will see more like these later ahead) when in reality, as this Instagrammer discovered, it looks like a shrunken head from horror stories you tell children. Witch doctors and voodoo practitioners are known for shrinking heads, and it appears a curse might have fallen on her. Maybe she fell victim to the curse, being near the old Egyptian artifacts, her head shrunk as she explored the exhibition further.
Someone must go there and save her before her head disappears completely! The curse is real! We must stop it! We're kidding. The real curse here is amateur photoshop skills.
Who Needs Organs Anyway? Not This Guy
This Instagrammer probably never heard of a liver, kidneys, intestines, or even opened a book about human anatomy, which is strange considering this man's body could be anatomically perfect. You need to know certain things to reach this type of body. For example, you need to know about eating the right things, maintaining a specific diet, working out the correct muscles groups. A body like this doesn't happen by accident. It takes time and dedication.
So how did he get here? We can blame excessive image editing and lack of understanding of what a body like in the image would functionally work in the real world. Which as we know, it doesn't.
Mermaid Legs Through A Wide Angle Shot
Taking a picture these days has never been easier, and there are many cameras, techniques, and styles to use when it comes to taking a picture. However, the problem begins when you don't know how to use one of the three we mentioned earlier. This woman discovered her friend took a cute picture of her standing on a bridge, but the shot was taken from a wide-angle, thus creating her elongated mermaid feet.
Either the camera is to blame, or nature. We highly doubt it's nature's fault here because can you imagine walking around with those feet every day? To work, to the bus, to meet people. Too much effort in walking.
Hips Do Lie, And Damn Do They Lie A Lot
Our next Instagrammer took the curves of her hips to a whole new level, creating a false image of what a human body should look like. If someone tells us this is an unedited image, we'd ask back how much are they getting paid to blatantly lie in our faces. This type of editing is not only unappealing but sets a dangerous and unachievable standard for many people.
Why goes to these lengths (get it?) to create this monstrous illusion? We love all types of the body as they are because they are beautiful, and no one should feel they need to change anything about themselves, as long as they are healthy and happy.
Only The Reflection Is Showing Us The Truth
This woman was called out for using too much editing on her legs, and unfortunately for her, the glass behind her reflected the truth. Some people feel the need to create a false image of themselves, and that's unfortunate. This image could have been a lot better if it was left untouched. Be you, do you! Enjoy your own body, and go ahead and celebrate it! It's the one you got, and you should flaunt that thing!
Bodies are different, and it's okay to have cellulite or curves just as the world accepts thin people. We should embrace and never let go of our bigger people. They belong in the world, and we see them and value them.
Smoother than A baby's bum And Unrealistic
Next on our Instagrammers' call-outs, we have a man who cleared out everything human from their face. There is no more texture, and he kind of looks animated. This isn't how a person looks, and it sends the wrong message for how the skin is. Notice the difference between the skin on his face and his hand? One is more human, while the other is more plastic. Someone call the filter police and call in a two-four, that's code for using multiple filters at once.
The bunny is the only thing that looks real in this picture, and thank god. If that bunny would have gone through a filter tool, that would have made us angry. Bunnies are adorable in all shapes and forms.
We Got Ourselves A Smooth Criminal Up In Here
Another victim to the smooth filter, and this one is pretty bad. They're all terrible if we're honest. This guy thought it would raise his chances of meeting somebody on Tinder if his face looked like marble. As we all know, marble faces don't exist, and it gives off a very creepy alien-like appearance. It isn't about the man at all. We're sure behind all those filters there is a man who can take a good picture. This is about the over-filtering of the face!
One filter? Two filters? How many were used to create this? God and this man know for sure, leaving the rest of us to guess. It gives the wrong message if your profile picture is edited too much and gives a sense of dishonesty.
So That's What Shoulders Look Like Underneath Shoulder Pads
This Instagrammer might have gone too far with her post when she decided pointy shoulders are what's missing to complete the entire look. We are even going to ignore the awful twisting of her body's mid-section to create a more doll-like body, which in reality would mean she has no liver or a heart. Again, we are forced to ask, why edit at all? We can try and figure out how this would look like without the editing, and we assume it's a great picture.
Unless this is a blow-up picture of an actual doll, this is a strange look to want for yourself. Nothing about this particular person in the picture is human, except for the fact she has hands and legs.
Swimming With The Sharks In The Big Blue Screen Saver
Do not take any ideas from our next Instagrammer. If you don't know yet, swimming with sharks unprotected isn't a thing, and if it is, then it is a great way to get eaten alive. Swimming with sharks can only happen when you are inside a steel cage, where sharks can't get to you. This person, for some reason, thought it would be a great idea to share she is on vacation and swimming side by side with real live sharks.
We have an anonymous tipper to thank for exposing the Instagrammer and showed us she took an image she found on Google and placed herself in it. Some people really will swim any distance to get likes.
Like Peeling An Onion, You Need To Peel Off The Filters
We get it, you're on vacation, you're sitting on the beach, it's a lovely day out, and you want to remember that moment, so you take a picture. However, when you use so many filters on your face, then it means someone else went on that vacation and not you. Also, a face like this you can not find in any part of the world because it simply does not exist. She could be a pretty-looking person, but those filters need to stop.
Natural beauty will always be better than a fake one because it's okay to have imperfections. Honestly, it's sad to see someone go through all this just for a cute picture.
It Keeps Growing And Growing And Growing
This time we are focusing on something other than the face. This one is about the backside of this young woman, who increased its size by tenfold. If she has a booty that big and can walk around with ease, then we applaud her. We believe reality has a different story to tell, as it's painfully clear to see this was the work of Photoshop. Who can handle that size? We certainly wouldn't want that on ourselves. That would make buying jeans virtually impossible.
This picture almost looks like two different images cut in the middle because of the disproportion. Now, we have to address the face as well. It's not enough to make your behind bigger, but also erasing all the texture from your face? Unnecessary.
Hey Karen, What Happened To Your Arm?
Everything in this picture could have been right, but some people need more. In this instance, a lot more, as their hand was sacrificed and turned into a giant entity of its own, and planning to take over the world. This woman altered her image for her reasons, but we can't figure out why. Besides the anomaly that is her hand, she seems happy and enjoying her day with her friend, so altering the picture is a senseless act.
It's all smiles and having fun until someone makes their hand the biggest thing in the universe. The proportion is completely off, and the fact she posted this to her account is disturbing on its own.
The Constant Changing Illusion Of Beauty
This could be part of a new sci-fi film poster, the woman with changing faces. As you can see, Photoshop can be your worst enemy if used incorrectly. The wavy effect from twisting around the right side of her face is painfully noticeable, and the smoothing of the face isn't helping this image be the best it can be. Did this image even need editing? We are going to say probably not. Too bad because this could have been a stellar shot. Instead, it's just not.
The right side of her face looks like it's underwater, and we're seeing the water ripples moving along. The chin, we forgot to mention the chin. A chin this pointy you can only find inside fairy tales, not real life.
Why Lift Weights When You Can Use Photoshop?
This transformation is all digital. Our next Instagrammer is someone who posted this on his Facebook account as his profile picture. Where do we begin with this one? He reminds us of the character Johnny Bravo, he was also a very buff guy but underneath it, all, not very though or real. We are aware this guy isn't muscular, it's all photoshop, and it doesn't look great. His left arm is bending in ways it shouldn't.
The editing here is just really bad. This guy could have had a great picture! he really could if he wanted to! It's baffling to see someone change everything about themselves in the digital world.
Who Got Her Nose? Seriously, Who Has It?
Noses are overrated. Who needs them anyway. You can do the same thing with your nose, through your mouth. These what probably went through this Instagrammer's mind when she posted this picture to her account. Is this supposed to look good? A nose is quite crucial to the human face, and without it, it looks very alien or even reptilian to us. Also, it took us a very long time to notice her eyebrows are missing.
When you start deleting things from your face for a good picture, you really should stop taking them for a while. Okay, it happened again. We didn't even notice those aren't real teeth! This image keeps on surprising us!
Fade it. More, more, more, more, more, more!!!
Blurring the lines has never been more blurred. This model erased the lines that defined her body and face. That's Photoshop's dedication to going all the way. In reality, if we encountered this, we would scream and run the other way because this isn't even remotely what a person looks like. The filtered-smooth face is pretty clear, the lack of lines (we can't believe we are even writing this) is truly out of this world, yet her hair is gorgeous.
We love the hair. That is the only thing in this picture that works. Just the hair. Although the probability the hair was taken from another picture and plastered on this one, is pretty high.
Get Yourself A New Head, You Deserve It
It seems this Instagrammer thought she could fool anyone with a pair of eyes into believing this is her head. She attached a model's head from what appears to be a magazine and placed it over her head, from a picture she took in the gym. This person works out a lot. Look at those abs! That's hard work! The new head placement only creates confusion and gives us nightmares.
The face color doesn't match even remotely to the rest of the body, and the hairstyle looks fresh and arranged recently. Who goes to the gym with a blowout and a face full of makeup? We're asking the wrong question. Who would steal another person's head?
Only Time Will Tell Who Is Real
There is no reason for all the filters that were used in this image. Are you kidding? If we look like this woman at her age, we would be over the moon! She looks gorgeous without the filters. She is stunning! We hope she sees herself as perfect because she is. On a different matter, we noticed the filtered version of this woman might look like her daughter. We can see the growth from the left image to the right.
We said once, and we'll say it again. People should stop trying to filter their life and be happy with what they have. It's more than enough. In this case, it's plenty.
Facial features? What's That? Probably Not Important
Another nose-less person on our list. You would think it would be an error that happens once. You were wrong because we have another! This Instagrammer decided to forgo the nose and a part of her lips because why not! Let's get crazy and stop looking like humans. If you reach this level, we have to assume it's intentional and this person wants no part in being a human. The hat also looks suspiciously like it wasn't originally there if you know what we mean.
When this picture was taken, there was probably a whole other person there looking at the camera. Now it's this humanoid, who literally filtered her nose off.
The Return Of Tiny Head Syndrome
This Instagrammer went ahead and shrank his head. We can't find anything that could warrant this alteration, and the result is simply creepy. We guess this man has been cursed too and had his head shrunken until he can find a way to lift the spell. We hope this man finds a way because, at this rate, he won't have his head in the next photo he takes. There is absolutely nothing normal with a head that size on a body that size.
It's almost like looking at two parts of the body taken from two very different images. His head doesn't fit his body at all, and it looks like a cartoon than a human part.
Someone Desperately Needs A Change Of Scenery
Okay, this is a new one. Our next Instagrammer didn't alter their body, face, or anything physical about themselves, which is a refreshing change. However, for some reason, they decided the sky needed an alteration and used, over and over, the same filter for the sky! Either the sky looks like that in real life, or it is simply another digital facade. Why go after nature? What did it ever do to you, you cruel Instagrammer?
It's like putting a filter on Mother Nature! Some things should be left alone, and this is very high on the list. The images themselves are stunning. This photographer has an eye for the right angle. So what's with the filter?
Tim Burton, Is this Your Doing?
This person posted a picture to their account, thinking they looked cute and alluring. In reality, they look like they came straight out of a Tim Burton film, with huge eyes, an extremely defined nose (at least she has one, right?), and lips that stretch all over the bottom part of her face. This is not what human beings look like, not at all. This is how a cartoon looks like. We're not trying to be mean, but come on!
She could be the prettiest girl in the world, but when you edit to the point of looking like this, it won't matter what you look like because this isn't it.
Waves Of Body Positivity And Balanced Diet
We got to give credit to these Instagrammers, and in this case, an Influencer too. They tried to promote their lifestyle, and they understand the term body positivity. So to go against everything they are trying to sell, that's courageous. Firstly, someone should explain to them, this body image isn't healthy and also unrealistic. Secondly, the waves behind her, either she should run for cover from a tsunami in the making or this photo has been Photoshoped.
People should stop selling these false images. Seriously, there was never a need to see these shapes on a human being. If you want to share your truth, then do it. For real this time.
Kylie Jenner, Makeup Mogul, Billionaire, Mother, and Unrecognizable
There is a lot to say about the Kardashian family, but we aren't about to start a feud with them! The one thing we are willing to write about the youngest member of the Kardashian clan is it's no secret they have beauty routines. These images were altered long before a camera took these shots, as by now, if you watched KUWTK, then you know every morning they wake up and go through a session of changing their appearance.
Remove the makeup, the glam, and you get ordinary people who look like everyday people you see on the street. It is their business. They need to uphold a certain image because that's what their fans demand.
Reaching For The Sky Took A Whole New Meaning
Our next Instagrammer failed to fool her fans with this altered image of herself. Although heavily edited and the use of a different background image is clear, it was her elongated legs which she tried to pass as real. We can't help but think the original photo would have been just fine to post and might be even better. It would have shown her in a more natural appearance and would help others see it isn't about looking good.
Social media has truly sent many minds into a frenzy, that they need to uphold a false image for the world. The truth is no one needs to prove anything to anyone, especially strangers.
The Smooth Face Epidemic No One Talks About
We haven't had a smooth face in a while! Here we have another one thanks to this Instagrammer, who put her face through many filters to make sure she resembles nothing like a human. Who is the audience for this? This person cares about how they look, but we must say, the smooth face is just a no for us. We can't connect to something that looks unreal, and missing texture on your face, enlarging your eyes, and using makeup filter? Big no-no from us.
It's not a good look. There, we said it! It is a shame this Instagrammer couldn't share how she looks. We bet she would have made more likes showing authenticity.
At The Age Of 72, Photoshop Is Still Not Your Friend
Let's make one thing clear, looking like the woman on the left at the age of 72 is phenomenal. She has style, she looks amazing and she looks like someone we would love to party with. Unfortunately, because of a tagged photo and uploaded photo, we see the difference and effort to conceal her age. She should be proud of her years and owing to her age. With a track record of 72 years, and to continue going out and living your best life? That's someone we want to follow!
Please, enjoy life in every moment you can, do good with your time, show us what's next for us, inspire us. When you use a filter, it does the opposite.
Organs Are So Over Rated, I Don't Need Them
Do not, for a second, think this photo is real. Having this as your body means you are dead. It's as simple as that. This Instagrammer thought she could make everyone believe if you worked out enough and eat right, they could achieve this false ideal of a body. Intestines are crucial for your survival, and from this photo, it looks like she hasn't got any. Also, no corset in the world does this for you. It doesn't eliminate your mid-section.
We will continue to say this, be happy with your body, and change only if you want to and for a healthy reason. This picture isn't showing you a healthy body at all.
How To Build The Perfect Body
Okay, this one is kind of hard to get your head wrapped around it. The Instagrammer before you decided to create herself from different parts that look like they belong to different individuals. Her head came from one place, her breasts from another, and her arms and legs might be hers, but we're not sure. It looks like an AI created this person. All the different tones and colors give us a headache from looking at her.
The unnatural look doesn't do it for us, it doesn't make us connect to you, and it looks strange. We understand sometimes you want to be someone else, but as the saying goes, everyone else is taken, so be you.
The Magic has Faded Away
There is a movement we strongly believe in, and that is black girl magic. It is supposed to celebrate black girls to love their appearance, their skin, their beauty, and their form. The girl on the left is stunning, she is powerful, we can relate to her, and her smile is infectious, and want to smile with her. But with the other image, the girl on the right, magic has faded as it is someone who isn't real so we can't connect to her. You have to own who you are.
From online comments, it seems we agree with them. Maybe the world is changing for the better, and the beauty standard can finally be realistic.
Lets Face It, This Isn't His Natural Face
The face doesn't match the body! Not in tone or texture. Yet again, we have another victim to the smoothing face filter. Someone should ban that filter from ever being used again. It creates weird people who like they have had a head transplant that went wrong. In this case, it also looks like he's wearing makeup, and we love makeup on a guy, but it doesn't make sense to appear wearing makeup inside a pool.
Too much effort not to look like yourself, and it's a shame. At least we hope he had a fun time, splashing around in the water with his real face.
A Very Anime Portrayal Of A Human
No one looks like this, not even remotely close. This image is heavily influenced by anime and manga characters but those are cartoons, and behind all these filters there is a real person who looks nothing like this. It looks like this is the Instagrammer's niche, and she wants to portray an anime version of herself which is fine, and that's what works for her. If we could present ourselves as a cartoon character, we would want it styled like Marvel.
Hey, even her clothes resemble an anima character, so it's clear she's taking her fans on a journey that is very specific for them. The equivalent would be if Barney the dinosaur would open an Instagram account and post snaps from their daily routine.
Tucking In The Belly Makes For Stomach Aches
This one is a subtle alteration, but luckily there are people with sharp eyes who spotted the error in our next Instagrammer's post. This image shows a beautiful woman, but her shadow shows there is more to her. Someone has altered her body to appear thinner and less with a human gut. She's a model, and we get this is the business and how it works, but that alteration was so minor and unnecessary, we would have loved the un-touched picture just as much.
Maybe that would wake people up in the industry. Stop spending more money on retouches. The picture itself, as shot, is great. We don't need any changes.
She Is Getting Armed And Ready
It took us a few minutes to realize why this picture is driving us crazy. The Instagrammer's hands are longer than her legs, and that is either an alien in disguise or someone who needs to improve their Photoshop abilities. If we revert the image to what used to show, without the crazy arms and stretched hips, this image would have been amazing. There is no doubt about it. Yet, here we are again, calling out this person for too much editing.
She has style! She is supposed to know better! That purse she's holding is a purse you work hard to get. So to ruin this picture with over editing, that's what we call blasphemy.
Face Palming So Hard Right About Now
We are going to take the liberty of saying this is ridiculous. The woman on the left looks flawless, she looks real, like a human, and a gorgeous looking woman at that. Then we see the woman on the right, edited to the point where it's a different person that shouldn't have even existed. If we saw a magazine cover with the woman on the left or the woman on the right, you know our hands are reaching towards the left.
The fact that she wanted this alteration is nothing but saddening. It's society's fault for allowing her to believe that the way she is, for some unfounded reason, isn't good enough. Well, if you look like the person on the left, you are perfect. And if you don't, then you are perfect.
Welcome To The Digital Age, Where No One Is Who They Are
We are speechless. Not for the reason, you're probably thinking, but from the expertise in Photoshopping. If all that came before this woman proved they are lacking in the Photoshop department, this person shows them how it's done. She succeeded in transforming herself from her regular appearance into another very life-like human being, and how they are supposed to look. She has a nose that's the right size, eyes and lips are proportionate, and makeup that just fits perfectly.
What can we say this woman took her talent and ran with it to the Photoshop Olympics. Bless her soul, and we pray she uses her powers only for good.
Excuse Me, But Is this Giraffe Real?
Well, if you made this far on our list, then congratulations, you win a giraffe. A fake one. Our last Instagrammer supposedly went on a vacation and supposedly took a picture with the lovely head of a giraffe. Before we continue with the giraffe, we're are going to acknowledge the smoothing face filter one last time. We did it, moving back to the giraffe. The giraffe is missing its body! Unless their entire body could fit behind this person.
Look, in the world of social media and constant images flood our eyes daily, it's important to remember not everything is real. What is real is you, and that's the only thing the matters.
